Smart Solar Systems That Never Let You Down
At solor.in, we design Hybrid Solar Systems that combine the strengths of both On-Grid and Off-Grid setups—offering grid connection, battery backup, and energy export flexibility in a single, intelligent solution.
These systems automatically switch between solar, battery, and grid power to keep your operations running without interruptions. Perfect for homes, offices, and commercial buildings where energy reliability is critical.
Smarter. Safer. More Sustainable. That’s the solor.in hybrid promise.
What is a Hybrid Solar System?
A Hybrid Solar System connects your solar panels to both the utility grid and a battery backup system. It stores excess power in batteries and simultaneously exports surplus energy to the grid under net metering.
So even during a power cut, your essential appliances stay powered while you continue earning credits from solar export.
The Best of Both Worlds: Savings & Backup
Don’t choose between lowering your bills and beating power cuts. A Hybrid system gives you both—Grid-Tied savings and Off-Grid battery backup.
Daytime
Your solar panels power your home. Excess power is used to charge your batteries.
Batteries Full
Once batteries are full, any more excess power is exported to the grid, earning you net-metering credits (just like On-Grid).
Power Cut
The system instantly (in milliseconds) disconnects from the grid, and your home automatically runs on the stored battery power.
Nighttime
You run your home from the battery. Only when the battery is low will you draw power from the grid, ensuring minimum cost.
Hybrid Solar System Benefits
A Hybrid system is the most advanced and flexible solar solution available. It connects to the grid to slash your bills, just like an On-Grid system. But it also includes a smart battery bank, giving you 24/7 power for your essential appliances, just like an Off-Grid system. It’s the all-in-one answer for the modern Indian home.
Enjoy 24/7 Power Backup
When the grid goes down, your system switches to battery power instantly. Keep your lights, fans, Wi-Fi, and essential appliances running without interruption.
Lower Bills with Net-Metering
Like an On-Grid system, you can still export your excess solar power back to the grid. This earns you credits and provides the fastest possible financial returns.
Smart Energy Management
A Hybrid system can be programmed to use battery power during expensive "peak-hour" tariffs, saving you even more money. You have total control over your energy.
Our End to End Hybrid Solutions
A Hybrid system must be perfectly balanced. Our engineers are experts in designing a system that meets your backup needs and your savings goals.
Critical Load Planning
We work with you to identify your "essential appliances" and design the battery bank to run them for your desired backup time.
Advanced Battery Solutions
We offer all types of solar batteries, from traditional Lead-Acid to modern, high-performance Lithium-ion, to fit your budget and longevity needs.
Powerful Hybrid Inverters
We use only the most advanced, smart hybrid inverters that can seamlessly manage power from the panels, grid, and batteries all at once.
Full Subsidy & Net-Metering
We handle all the complex paperwork for both the government subsidy and the DISCOM net-metering approvals.
All-in-One Monitoring
Your mobile app will show you everything in one place: your solar generation, your battery charge level, your grid usage, and your total savings.
Your Hybrid System Questions
Who is this system best for?
This is the perfect solution for homes and businesses in areas with both high electricity bills and frequent power cuts. It solves both problems at once.
How is this different from my regular home inverter?
A regular home inverter charges its battery by using your expensive grid power. A Hybrid system charges its battery using free solar power. It's far more efficient and saves you significantly more money.
How long will the battery backup last?
This is completely up to you. During our consultation, we will ask what you want to power and for how long. We can design the battery bank for 2 hours of backup or 24 hours of backup—it is 100% customisable.
Can I add batteries to my existing On-Grid system?
In most cases, this is not possible without replacing your main inverter. An On-Grid inverter is not designed to manage batteries. It's best to plan for a Hybrid system from the start if you think you'll want backup.
Is a Hybrid system more expensive?
Yes, it costs more than an On-Grid system because it includes the cost of batteries and a more advanced inverter. However, it provides the added, critical benefit of power backup, which an On-Grid system cannot.
